Kansas Business Owners Sue, Claim COVID Restrictions Restrict Rights

Business owners in Wichita, Kansas have filed a lawsuit claiming COVID restrictions are infringing on their constitutional rights.

“In a civil lawsuit refiled Friday in Sedgwick County District Court, a long list of plaintiffs representing 11 Wichita establishments argue a business curfew violates their right to due process protected under the 14th Amendment and the Kansas Bill of Rights.

In the lawsuit, the bar owners say they did not have the opportunity “to be heard in a meaningful time and a meaningful manner” before a county public health order went into effect, and do not have any means to challenge it.” [READ MORE]
